Michael Di Gennaro

Michael, serves as LPE’s Chief Strategy Officer, successfully and proactively identifying, assessing, and pursuing opportunities, ideas, solutions, and strategies to improve company processes and outcomes. He is a strategic and innovative thinker consistently

demonstrating ingenuity, initiative, and creativity to implement solutions to enhance organizational success. 


This bent makes him an invaluable counselor to lawyers, law firm owners and management, private equity members, family office representatives, and investors. He advises both buy-side and sell-side clients on a wide range of matters including growth through acquisition and exit strategies, deal structuring and intermediation, targeted law firm search, preliminary law firm valuation estimates, and general law firm management consulting.


Prior to joining LPE, Michael worked as a researcher and consultant, a former practicing financial institutions regulatory attorney, and legal recruiter. Michael has a strong quantitative background, and conducted economic, financial, and statistical research and analysis in a variety of contexts including financial institution regulation and corporate brand management. He worked as a Financial Analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, a Research Executive at Young & Rubicam, and a quantitative litigation consultant before serving as an attorney and bank regulator at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve in Washington, D.C. There he facilitated the oversight of high-profile M&A transactions such as TD Bank Financial Group’s acquisition of Commerce Bancorp Inc.


As a seasoned talent acquisition professional, having worked at both a prestigious global legal placement agency, and an Am Law 200 firm, Michael has secured scores of law firm merger and acquisition discussions, and successfully orchestrated the first law firm acquisition in his placement agency’s history.


Michael earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law where he was awarded the prestigious Judge John J. Galgay Fellowship in Bankruptcy and Reorganization Law and served as a Staff Editor and Articles & Notes Editor of the Journal of International Law and Politics. He also holds an M.A. in Statistics from Columbia University and a B.S. with Distinction in Policy Analysis from Cornell University.

Michael leads an active lifestyle outside of work both physically and mentally.  He holds rank in several martial arts including Combat Hapkido, Chinese Hawaiian Kenpo, and Judo, and enjoys hiking, fishing, mineral collecting, and competitive archery. He is a history and language (Spanish, Italian) buff, who relishes walks, travel, and adventures with his fiancée Silvia and their rescue pup Nixie.
