A highly successful niche law firm providing sophisticated legal services throughout California with a focus on: facilitating numerous sale transactions for assets, equity interests, and/or related real estate or lease transactions, and general business counseling. The firm’s prior transition to essentially a virtual law practice pre-Covid positioned the firm to handle business transactions throughout the State of California. For example, the firm has worked on sale transactions in San Diego, Orange County, the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe. Working with a great variety of businesses in various locales is an interesting additional practice benefit, in addition to the tremendous growth potential, as there is no geographic limitation to the firm within California.
The firm currently refers out a significant number of inquiries based upon either the firm being at capacity or for legal areas not currently handled at the firm, such as litigation. The law firm runs a very efficient operation with a low overhead ratio compared to gross revenues, resulting in excellent cash flow to the owner. The firm’s principal has developed exceptional goodwill and a strong referral base of other professionals throughout the State based upon a reputation for creative problem-solving, seminar presentations, word of mouth, and targeted limited marketing. The law firm is strongly committed to practicing with principled integrity and responsiveness to client needs, a key to its success.
The ideal purchasing counsel is energetic, personable, and enjoys the sense of accomplishment from resolving challenges which in turn lead to successful deal closings. Experience/license requirements include: A California licensed attorney with prior experience in negotiations, due diligence and document drafting for: asset, equity and real estate purchase/lease transactions, and general business counseling. Accounting knowledge is preferable. A particular location in California is not required for purchasing counsel, as (per above) clients are scattered geographically throughout the State of California. The firm’s principal is willing to continue working with the purchasing counsel for a period of time for a seamless transition, including project coordination, mentoring, and introductions with numerous referral sources for retention of the goodwill of the practice. Seller financing is potentially available, upon approved credit and background.
